When my husband’s company presented the opportunity to move to Sydney, Australia we jumped at the chance. So 6 months into our marriage we’ve uprooted our lives, moved away from family and friends, and are now Sydneysiders trying to figure it all out. . . without a car. I'm working on a new vocabulary of Australian slang or 'Strine that consists of mate, no worries, and rippa. And living in a land with incredible fireworks for every occasion, boxing kangaroos, vegemite, and a whole lot of mullets this ought to be an interesting journey.
